New-Look Group Highlights Full Range of FM solutions for Phase 3 in Mumbai
23rd September 2009, Bordeaux-Merginac, France - WorldCast Systems, the newly-rebranded group comprising leading broadcast brands, Audemat, Ecreso and APT will be showcasing a wide range of new and updated products for professional radio applications at the 2009 Broadcast India Show.Offering both stand-alone solutions and complete turnkey systems for the studio, transmitter site and coverage area, WorldCast Systems Inc works with broadcasters to deploy reliable and cost-effective solutions for the delivery, transmission and monitoring of AM, FM and Digital Radio throughout the country.
New at this year’s Broadcast India Show is the WorldCast Equinox, the latest addition to APT’s WorldCast range of IP Audio Codecs which were selected by a significant proportion of Phase 2 FM stations. Introduced earlier this year at NAB, the WorldCast Equinox was honoured with a “Cool Stuff” Award from Radio World in recognition of the wide range of professional features it offered at a very affordable price. As well as IP audio transport, the WorldCast Equinox also offers an X.21 interface, two BRI ports, a wide range of algorithms and multiple levels of redundancy.
Also on show at the WorldCast Systems booth will be the exciting Next FM, Ecreso’s “Radio All in One” transmitter. Already successfully trialled in India, this revolutionary system offers sound processing, MPX encoding, RDS encoding, audio backup, UPS, Exciter and low power amplifier in a single 3U device packed full of redundancy features. By combining a high quality transmitter with this essential broadcast functionality, the Next FM delivers many savings to the broadcaster in terms of cost, real estate, time and energy. Perfect for the FM market anticipated from Phase 3, the Next FM occupies less space at the transmitter site, draws less power and is a highly competitive, cost-effective alternative to purchasing a range of separate devices. With a single, integrated user interface to control all functions, the Next FM also enables greater user efficiency. Crucially, these savings do not come at the cost of quality. The Next FM transmitter offers the best FM S/N ratio of >80dB and an extremely low distortion level of <0.05%.
For those interested in monitoring, the group will be showing Audemat’s highly successful and well-established FM MC4, a Mobile FM field-strength Meter and dynamic base-band Analyzer as well as the full range of Navigator mobile metering and Goldeneagle signal monitoring equipment.
“The combined product portfolio and expertise of Audemat, Ecreso and APT means that we can offer fully integrated and reliable broadcast systems for audio delivery, transmission and monitoring within a wide range of budgets,” states Jean-Baptiste Roux, WorldCast Systems Group VP Sales. “With a new-look for our group and an extensive range of professional and affordable broadcast solutions, we are really looking forward to meeting with broadcasters at the Broadcast India Show and discussing how we can help them with their requirements for Phase 3.”
WorldCast Systems incorporating Audemat, Ecreso and APT will be exhibiting at Stand J1007, Broadcast India, Mumbai from the 29th -31st October 2009.
