New "Radio-All-In-One" Product From WorldCast Systems to be launched at NRB 2010

Audemat's Digiplexer Range expands to offer broadcasters new cost-effective option for transmitter site operation.

WorldCast Systems, comprising leading broadcast brands APT, Ecreso and Audemat, will launch a new “Radio All in One” product at the upcoming NRB Convention in Nashville, March 1st-2nd2010.

The latest addition to Audemat’s “Radio All in One” range, the 1 Band version of the ever-popular Digiplexer 2/4, will be available for demonstration at WorldCast System’s booth 910 at the NRB.

The “Radio All in One” range is well respected amongst radio broadcasters for delivering many savings by combining key functions such as audio processing, RDS encoding, stereo encoding, audio back-up and I/O remote control in a single chassis. Recognizing that the majority of stations will perform their main audio processing operation at the studio site, the new 1 band unit has been specifically designed for transmitter site operation. It combines all the traditional features of a “Radio All in One” product with only final limiting and Automatic Gain Control on the Audio Processing side.

“This latest innovation within the Audemat product line increases yet further the cost savings we can offer broadcasters who are understandably cautious in these difficult times,” states Christophe Poulain, President of WorldCast Systems Inc.

“Typically a broadcaster would have to purchase between 5 and 6 separate pieces of equipment to do what the Digiplexer 2/4 performs in a single 1U case. Should a broadcaster’s requirements change, the Digiplexer 2/4 can be upgraded from 1 Band to 2 or 4 Band option by means of a simple software upgrade.

En prévision du lancement officiel de la radio terrestre numérique en France, Ecreso (www.ecreso.com), le premier fabricant Français d’Emetteurs va présenter sa nouvelle gamme DAB/DAB+/T-DMB au salon du SIEL SATIS RADIO, qui se tiendra à la porte de Versailles du 20 au 22 octobre.

Basé sur le même principe de modularité, d’efficacité et de fiabilité qui a fait le succès des émetteurs Ecreso auprès des diffuseurs à travers le monde, la nouvelle gamme DAB/DAB+/T-DMB leur fournit une solution professionnelle et abordable pour leur migration vers la radio numérique.

Interrogé sur cette nouvelle gamme d’émetteurs DAB/DAB+/T-DMB d’Ecreso, Jean Baptiste Roux, Directeur Délégué Commercial / Marketing ventes, déclare : Nous considérons cette gamme d’émetteur comme la suite logique de notre porte feuille d’émetteurs FM, installés par les principaux diffuseurs français tels que TDF, TowerCast, Lagardère.

La nouvelle gamme a une approche modulaire de la puissance de sortie, avec 8 possibilités de classes de puissance, allant de 150 W à 2,4 kW, basé sur un simple amplificateur de 300 W.

Les diffuseurs peuvent choisir parmi une gamme de pilotes notamment l’Helios DMB qui offre un support pour tous les modes DAB, ainsi que les modes MFN ou SFN, une gestion des ETI ainsi qu’un control à distance avancé et une surveillance via IP et SNMP.

Les fonctions de la gamme T-DMB incluent ETI sur IP (EDI) pour la mise à jour à distance du pilote et la surveillance à distance de tous les principaux paramètres EDI ainsi qu’une pré correction ajustable pour une augmentation automatique des performances. Debuting at this year’s Radio Show will be a new version of Audemat’s extremely successful HD Radio modulation monitor, the Goldeneagle HD. Supplied as standard with the unit, Audemat’s Scripteasy V2 software is a powerful graphical tool that enables the user to easily create complex scripts and routines for remote control and monitoring. Based on a modular, hot-swappable architecture, the new line is composed of a series of 1kW amplifiers, each of them redundant and offering 2 MOSFETs with an independent power supply. This new line provides broadcasters with a cost-effective, reliable and space-efficient option for FM transmission.

Ecreso also offer the industry’s only ‘All in One’ FM transmitter solution which combines a 1, 20 or 100W FM exciter/transmitter with powerful digital audio processing, stereo encoding, RDS encoding, audio back-up, I/O remote control and TCP/IP connectivity – all in a slimline 3U enclosure.

At the Radio Show, visitors can see the new advanced audio back-up feature on the Next FM (also available on the Digiplexer series) which enables a broadcaster to playout audio files in MP3 and .WAV format from a 40Gb hard drive should the audio input fail. The music can be easily organized in up to 10 playlists and scheduled for play back with configurable cross fading between each audio file.

For those interested in audio delivery, the firm will be showcasing the new WorldCast Equinox which is the latest addition to APT’s range of IP Audio Codecs. Industry-Leading Mobile Measurement Tool Showcased at IBC 2009

Bordeaux, France, 1st September 2009, - Audemat (www.audemat.com) is to announce significant new functionality including MPEG-4 support on its renowned range of Mobile Metering equipment for Digital TV at the 2009 IBC exhibition.

The company’s successful Navigator DVB-T/H is already the industry-standard system for mobile measurement for both DVB-T and DVB-H with hundreds of units already deployed by broadcast regulators and broadcasters worldwide. Now, as more and more countries plan to offer H.264/AVC MPEG-4 for the delivery of HD services over DVB-T, the Navigator system is updated to also offer compatibility with MPEG-4 video coding.

Used to conduct mobile measurement campaigns on foot or in a vehicle, the Navigator DVB-T/H enables real-time measurement of RF parameters and MPEG data as well as content monitoring, display and recording. All information is stored complete with GPS coordinates to enable extensive analysis of coverage performance and the export of results to software mapping applications. A single antenna receiver is also added to the feature set of the Navigator DVB-T/H which now supports both single and diversity modes.

The rebranding is designed to reflect the group’s visionary strategy of providing professional, integrated solutions to broadcasters at every step along the broadcast chain.
Each of the three main brands is being treated to a fresh new logo and will be united under the group name “WorldCast Systems”.

Navigator CMMB is Industry’s First Professional Mobile Metering Unit

For Chinese Digital TV Market

Bordeaux, France, 29th July 2009, - Audemat (www.audemat.com ), the broadcast monitoring specialist, will be launching the new Navigator CMMB for the expert measurement of Digital TV to handheld devices throughout China at this year’s BirTV exhibition, 26th-29th August in Beijing.
Based on Audemat’s highly successful Navigator range, this new unit is a state-of-the-art mobile metering system that enables wide scale coverage analysis for CMMB networks.

With the ongoing roll-out of CMMB by the China Satellite Mobile Broadcasting Corporation (CSMBC), the Audemat’s Navigator system enables broadcasters to verify actual coverage results, ensure high quality content is received by the target audience and validates compliance with all parameters established in the CMMB standard.

Real-time measurements such as RF Levels, S/N, LDPC Error & Total and BLER are displayed complete with GPS coordinates. An optional Test & Measurement package is also available for in-depth testing of high level RF, Shoulders, MER, Spectrum or Constellation analysis.

Supplied in a lightweight travel case, the Navigator CMMB is a fully portable unit complete with a GPS receiver, antenna and optional battery pack to enable measurement campaigns to be conducted on-the-go; on foot or in a vehicle.

In addition to real-time display, results are automatically logged and can be downloaded to a PC on completion of the campaign for further analysis. The data can be easily exported in a variety of different formats for display on mapping tools such as Google Earth, MapPoint and most popular simulation software where it can be compared with predicted coverage.

AT BirTV, the Navigator CMMB will be demonstrated alongside Audemat’s extensive range of monitoring equipment for DAB, DVB and TV as well as their new “All in One” Transmitter solution, the NextFM. The NextFM features a 20 or 100W Transmitter together with a digital audio processor, stereo encoder, RDS encoder, embedded audio backup, I/O remote control and TCP/IP connectivity – all in one 3U enclosure.
